Ex-frontwoman of Taiwanese group Natural Q, singer-songwriter Wei Ru Xuan—affectionately known to fans as “Wawa” (“dolly”in Mandarin)—is one of the biggest female voices in the Taiwanese indie music scene today. Since going solo, she has sparked, with her unique vocals, a new wave of music infused with a sweet freshness, turning youthful musings into blissful ditties such as those in her Bubbles and La Dolce Vita albums.
After performing to a sold-out house in 2009, she will be back to bring you new songs from her new album No Crying in this in::music showcase.
in::music series presents some of the most inspiring Chinese indie bands and singer-songwriters performing their original compositions, as part of Huayi - Chinese Festival of Arts.
